"Don't judge a book by it's cover"

This is one of the most over used phrases and it happens to be very typical in our society today. Everyone throws it around like it's just some regular words, but little do they know, it means alot more. Children, teenagers, men, women, they all tell one another not to judge someone by their outer characteristics, but do they truly mean it? Well, i don't think so. I believe that people use that phrase because it makes them feel that they're doing a good deed for someone which, makes them feel happy about themselves. Don't get me wrong, not everyone thinks this way, but the majority of us does.

Most of us are hypocrites because we say don't judge someone, but then we do the complete opposite. It's just really sad because we should be better than that. We should respect and care for one another not for our appearances, but for the qualities that defines our character on the inside. I wish that as a community, we would be more like this. I bet that if it was like this, their would be less problems and more peace.

  1. I definatly agree. I couldn't say it better myself. Many people do this and I don't think people should. When people judge before knowing they could lose a possible great friend. Iono, it's sad.
But then again the "Don't judge a book by it's cover" is never usually used in applying for jobs and things like that. hmm, sad.
